In a recent survey by the NLA, revealed that one in three landlords are currently experiencing rent arrears.

This may be something you’re familiar with...

Rent arrears can quickly spiral out of control. Indeed, on average, a period of six months can pass before a landlord finally regains possession of their property. And that's not including the loss of rent, before a new tenant has been found.

Of course, you may argue that this is the reality that landlords must factor into the business of letting. But is there anything you can do to reduce this risk?

At Homematch we provide a range of options to help you protect your rental income:

1) Ensure you alwasy credit check your tenant. Check all references.  We can complete this as part of a tenant find only option.  Or a basic credit check is £20 + Vat. If you collate the details & email/fax them to us.

2) Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreements - ask for a guarantor if you are unsure - we can provide paperwork for this.  Credit Check & relevant letters £50 + Vat

3) If you upgrade your credit check to full referencing - we can help you with Rent Assurance if the tenant has a credir scoring high enough to qualify.
